HubSpot updates
If you’ve had a look at any other page of our website, it will probably come as no surprise that we’re big fans of HubSpot here at SpotDev.
Their powerful (and free) CRM comfortably competes with the well-established Salesforce, their marketing automation is mind-blowing in its simplicity, and the HubSpot CMS is so marketer-friendly you can build web pages, landing pages and blog posts with zero coding skills.
But of course, HubSpot doesn’t do everything.
For example, you can’t really carry out conversion rate optimisation beyond A/B testing of content and CTAs, and there’s no call-tracking functionality. There are also a few things HubSpot still doesn’t do quite as well as more experienced, niche players in the market.
Integrations to the rescue
It can become quite difficult to manage the output of multiple platforms, but fortunately, HubSpot has you covered.
There are literally hundreds of HubSpot integrations available, allowing you to connect your entire marketing stack. Take a look:
The HubSpot Connect suite of integrations is one of the most powerful features of the platform, leveraging the functionality of all these products to enhance their overall offering.
Here is a selection of the integrations we’ve used ourselves
Slack
When a website visitor interacts with our chatbot, a message is pushed to one of our Slack channels notifying the relevant team member that they need to reply.
Unbounce
Unbounce is a landing page builder, and for clients that have HubSpot’s free CRM but do not pay for the Marketing Hub, we can use this software to capture leads and add them directly into the CRM.
Gmail
The contact record in HubSpot CRM contains all of the information you have on your leads. Keeping track of communication between your team and your leads is also important, and the Gmail integration allows you to do just that.
After installing the HubSpot Sales Chrome extension, all of the emails you send to users registered in the CRM will be copied directly into their contact record. You can even compose emails from within the CRM itself.
HotJar
I’ve already mentioned the limited conversion rate testing you can carry out in HubSpot, but integrating HotJar has allowed us to supercharge our capability in this area.
Heat maps, click maps and scroll maps are all features of HotJar, as well as screen recordings of genuine website sessions and user feedback.
Mailchimp
I’m of the opinion that HubSpot’s email marketing automation is some of the best around, but if you use Mailchimp — one of the most popular email marketing providers — then this integration will be essential.
By connecting HubSpot to MailChimp, you can easily add your HubSpot contacts to MailChimp lists.
Vidyard
Video is very much the present and future of inbound marketing, and this relatively new integration offers a ridiculous amount of value.
Track which videos your contacts are watching, how much of them they watched and easily embed video across all of your marketing assets.
We’re really excited about the HubSpot—Vidyard partnership, and we’re looking forward to seeing the positive results it brings for our clients.
Custom integrations
The six HubSpot integrations I’ve highlighted above are really just the tip of the iceberg but, what’s more, you can even create custom integrations if there isn’t an existing native integration.
At SpotDev we offer bespoke HubSpot integrations — get in touch with us today if you’d like to find out more about what we can do.
