The Challenge

Dataloft Consult faced a significant challenge in managing its email and social media marketing processes. They needed to deliver hyper-personalised emails tailored to specific areas, local branches, and contact types. Additionally, the manual process of transferring content (images and copy) from Dataloft to HubSpot for social media review and publishing was labor-intensive and time-consuming. The marketing manager would have to check Dataloft several times a day, manually download/copy the content, and upload/paste it into the HubSpot portal.

SpotDev implemented a custom integration solution between Dataloft Inform and HubSpot. After evaluating several options, they chose SpotDev for its robust capabilities in automating both email and social media tasks. The integration allowed Dataloft to automate the creation and distribution of hyper-personalised emails and social media posts based on localised data and pre-defined criteria.

To implement the email automation, our API pulls in pre-confirmed area statistics (for example, by branch) and assigns this to the contact in HubSpot, when they meet pre-defined criteria. Finally, the selected email template is populated with the data.

To implement the social media automation, SpotDev created ‘ready to post’ social media content in HubSpot, using Datalofts’ scroll-stopping graphics and copy. This integration takes infographics and copy from Dataloft and turns them into draft social media posts in HubSpot. This decision significantly reduced the manual workload and improved the overall efficiency of their marketing operations.

The Results

After implementing our custom integration, Dataloft experienced substantial improvements in their marketing processes. They were now able to deliver local statistics to their contacts in real-time via email, enhancing the relevance and personalisation of their communications. Additionally, the integration led to an 83% reduction in manual social media tasks, allowing their team to focus more on strategy and analysis rather than execution.
